Book your own e-nose and e-tongue seminar!

Alpha MOS wiil be touring Finland in March, providing free seminars for the food & beverage industry on the advantages of electronic noses. If you are interested in arranging a short in-house seminar at your site, please let us know. We would be delighted to come and meet with your group.

Please contact Sari Oino (sari.oino@norlab.com) who will be happy to coordinate the date and time. Seminars can be arranged from Monday afternoon, 29 February to Friday morning, 4 March 2016.

The seminar will highlight the advantages of using e-sensing instruments for quality control and product development in the coffee industry:

  • Electronic nose and tongue instruments are a powerful complement to human sensory evaluation. They produce reliable and traceable results that can be correlated with sensory panel evaluation.

  • High analysis throughput capabilities and easy-to-understand results allow to take faster decisions at the point of production, hence speeding up batch release and reducing storage time

  • Electronic sensing analyzers are efficient tools for product optimization, benchmarking and retro-engineering

Our two suggestions for seminar program:

Info-talk (about 60 minutes)

  • Short presentation of the principle of e-nose and e-tongue

  • Applications in sensory analysis of coffee

Short seminar (90 to 120 minutes)

  • Detailed presentation of the principle of e-nose and e-tongue including comparizon with other techniques (sensory evaluation, traditional GC and GC/MS)

  • Applications in sensory analysis of coffee

  • Customer questions

  • Coffee break and discussions (we will provide coffee bread)
