Using the AF2000-autosampler “shaking option” for enhanced sample recovery of fast sedimenting samples using the example of titanium dioxide nanoparticles in sunscreens
This application note shows the separation of TiO2 nanoparticles of a model and a real sunscreen sample after extraction; two samples that are prone to fast sedimentation and thus significant sample loss and size discrimination already during the injection step. Therefore, the benefit of using the “shaking option” of the AF2000-autosampler is demonstrated.

PermeGear deaerating methods
This technical note provides information on the methods of deaeration, and choosing the best one for each situation.

Postnova fused silica capillary tubing
Postnova provides a great variety of flexible fused silica capillary products with inner diameters from 2 - 700 um and with numerous coatings available. They supply a wide range of tubing from thin walled polyimide coated flexible fused silica to thick walled silica quartz tubes without coating. They provide custom sizes, custom tolerances, and a wide range of durable and protective coatings with lowest tolerances to meet our customer’s needs.

VICI DBS gas generators resource guide
Laboratory gases serve a variety of purposes, from inert barriers for lab operations and instruments to consumption in analytical processes. In many laboratories, gas generators are quickly replacing traditional tanks, offering greater flexibility, convenience, safety and cost-effectiveness. Gas generators offer the ability to produce on-demand supply and specialty blends of highly pure gases for various applications including chromatography, atomic absorption, organic carbon analysis and dry glove boxes.

VICI DBS analytical gas generators
VICI DBS generators are specifically designed to meet the stringent gas requirements for all the leading GC and LC/MS instrument manufactures. Gas generators offer a safe, convenient and cost effective alternative to gas cylinders and dewars. A VICI DBS generator provides a dependable, easy to use and on-demand supply of ultra high purity gas.

Biotage industrial product portfolio
The Biotage
portfolio of industrial scale products have a proven track record of successful applications and use in scale-up projects. The industrial product range can support the discovery, development and manufacturing of customer pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, from pre-clinical, phase I, II and III to small scale commercial operations.

Metal scavengers in process chemistry
Metal scavengers were first investigated for contamination by independently confirmed ICP metal analysis methods. Additionally, these scavengers were extracted in a range of common solvents in order to show extractable and leachable levels. A metal scavenging reaction comparing API product yield, purity and also metal removal using metal scavengers was compared to corresponding carbon methods.

Biotage ISOLUTE Si Trisamine metal scavenger
The Biotage ISOLUTE Si-Trisamine is a silica bound equivalent of a trisamine base and can scavenge a variety of electrophiles, including aldehydes, acid chlorides, sulfonyl chlorides, isocyanates, isothiocyanates and heavy metal ions such as Mn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Pb+2, Ru+2 and Zn2+. Si-Trisamine has a number of uses, it is a very powerful scavenger of transition metals and can also be used as a work-up tool to remove electrophiles or acids in either batch or flow-mode (cartridge) following traditional reflux heated or microwave synthesized reactions.

Biotage MP-TMT palladium scavenger
The Biotage MP-TMT is a macroporous polystyrene-bound trimercaptotriazine, a resin bound equivalent of 2,4,6-trimercaptotriazine (TMT). MP-TMT scavengers residual palladium from palladium catalyzed reactions and has also shown to remove other metals. The MP-base copolymer has been designed to yield a robust, low swelling material, which makes it ideal for restricted volume environments. Its unique pore structure provides greater access to the reactive sites resulting in faster reactions and higher recoveries.

Ruthenium scavenging applications
This study presents the use and applications of a convenient metal scavenging kit in a ruthenium metal removal process. The aim was to combine classic Grubbs chemistry with the concept of metal scavenging, to demonstrate how classical synthetic chemistry may be adapted to meet modern-day guidance on elemental impurities in the pharmaceutical industry.
